Discussing the challenges of the global food system and examining some of the solutions proposed in the Citi GPS report.
LIVESTREAMWhile hunger and malnutrition fell for many years in the early 2000’s, it has been on the increase since 2015, and this has accelerated over the last 2 years, with 320mn more people being pushed into food insecurity in 2020. Moreover, there is little room for complacency as we contemplate how we will feed an extra 1.5-2bn people by 2050, with the bulk of that growth coming in regions which arealready experiencing the worst effects of food insecurity, hunger and malnutrition.
This reception features speakers from the public sector, finance, and the corporate world. We will discuss the challenges of the global food system and examine some of the solutions proposed in the Citi GPS report.
Speakers include Jason Channell, Head of Citi Global Insights Sustainable Finance, Citi; Achim Hupperts, Vice President Sustainability at DSM; Anita McBain, Head of EMEA ESG Research, Citi; Gianpiero Nacci, Head of Climate Policy & Delivery, EBRD; and Hans Zayed, Investor Relations Director at at OCI.
